The brief
Villa Tan approached us with a clear vision: to create a self-serve tanning and beauty space that felt elevated, effortless, and unlike anything else on the Gold Coast. They wanted the brand to evoke the feeling of stepping into a luxurious Bali villa — relaxed, refined, and glow-ready 24/7. The challenge was to blend the convenience of automated spray tanning with the indulgence of high-end beauty services, including professional makeup offerings.
Building a Minimalist, Sun-Kissed Brand Identity
We developed a brand identity that feels sun-drenched, calm, and considered. Inspired by neutral, earthy tones and soft textures, the visual language reflects understated luxury. The logo suite features elegant, minimal typography and iconography that nods subtly to sun, skin, and self-care. The tone of voice was carefully crafted to feel warm yet polished - empowering, never pushy. Every touch point was designed to communicate ease, elegance, and confidence.

With an emphasis on clarity and convenience, users can easily learn about services, explore casual pass and membership options, and access the studio via the Villa Tan app. We integrated gallery features, service breakdowns, and strategic copy writing to reflect both the luxury offering and the accessibility of 24/7 tanning.
